It is funny how things changed within the confines of the same colored door.  Still moving. Still progressing. Just saw this pic taken way back in 2006 which made me reflect and think. Good night.

Waiting to get wet

Going to KL in a bit.  Another long weekend and work will resume on Wednesday but not for me. Nothing new and it has always been like that.  Getting bored from waiting for my turn to shower as all three of them are still at it. It always have been like that as well since we moved here, every time we are going out whether for work or whatever reason, I always take the last turn in terms of taking a bath. Enough of this.

Tigas Ka Ba?

Another day is about to end and just want to put something here before I do something else or call it a day or go out for a quick lok lok snack or even have some hookah.. I'm not sure actually, but just like yesterday, just need to be distracted in a positive way.

Not sure if my fate is really to be involved in establishing or starting-up business units for IBM because when I reflect in my almost 8 years of doing recruitment for Big Blue I can say that I've been always involved in the start-up or major transformation and I can say that it is the most challenging yet the most fun and engaging recruitment experience... well a quick recap of my engagements and successes in terms of start-up and ramps:

          a. IBM Daksh - I was recruiter #3, was the first sourcing lead, responsible for ramping up the first ever big external telecoms account in which we hired if I'm not mistaken 1800 in 9 months.

          b. IBM Business Services - I was invited to apply to take on the first ever sourcing lead role, established the mass hiring model which is similar to the current global model - so think the idea was really ahead of time hehe, university and external relations including multilingual hiring model, and from there just worked on ramping the center from 900 in 2006 to double the size in 2007 and incrementally increasing it during my stay there.

         c. IBM Malaysia - Still here so I think we can talk about it some other time.  Can highlight that I was one of the leaders in terms of establishing the current recruitment model, conducting the 1st ever training to the1st batch of people who are supporting the recruitment operations. Have hired thousands of people in the last 3 years in the role as well.. Not bad lah...

       d. IBM Global Delivery Center Malaysia - NOW SHOWING. Hehe...


Anyway, think for some reason I got sleepy after looking back at the things that happen in the past... Enough of this I think. As a I look back, I can say that in my line of work, just like what the picture says... TITIBAY KA!
 

Guess What Again..

Well the call pushed through. Was told there was a tool error in rescheduling.  Call was worthwhile..
Nice to be engaged for such activities.  Feels nice to be asked/recognized for some expertise/skill sets with regard to recruitment branding. After that drove my son to school then worked from home because saw a long queue of cars entering the parking area and will be faster to go back and log on from home and to check my wife who is recovering already which is good... Will go to the office in a bit..  Just going for a lunch meeting... Adios Amigos.

Guess What

Woke up on the dot. Exactly at 7:28AM or something just in time for the 7:30AM call.
But guess what... It's now 7:50ish and the main person needed for the meeting seems to be not
contactable.  Those in the meeting decided to drop the call and we will be requesting for a reschedule.
Thinking of breakfast now... 

Long Gone Day

Hope she gets well already so that I will have someone to go with for a lunch or dinner date...

Need some positive distraction to alleviate my irritation.

Think the best way is to start writing again during the zombie hours which is basically the time in which I'm alone here in the sala or at the corner of the bed or some other place in which I can seclude or isolate myself in our condo.  Wonder why I do it when I'm just the one up and really feeling like a zombie or a vampire - for the record, not the Twilight type.

This day is pretty... tsk what to say?? My wife is sick right now, have some emotional circus inside me as well for missing my son's first communion, accompanied and said goodbye to our guests from the Philippines in which I saw my son became attached to the son of our guests, work is work, and lots more. Actually slept already from around 9:30PM to around 11PM and just trying my luck to really fall asleep fast since I have a 7:30AM call with people from Australia and I think someone from the US plus a long day ahead. 

Anyway, for some reason I started checking old data from my old email accounts and also looked for whatever is out there in terms of important files or data to me and started consolidating the important info, also checked how things were in 1998 until around 2002. All those lead to me creating this new blog.  

Will let my fingers have a break for now.
